Cameraphone tabloid reporter, Joe Kitsch, here bringing you the latest dirt from Atlantic Works Gallery. The East Boston gallery started as "a collaborative space for art and ideas." With the dust still settling on the controversy of "Unsuitable Content" held in August, the good intentions of Atlantic Works was once again torn asunder. Last night, scandal rocks the opening reception of The Biennial Project!!

The Biennial Project started off as a collaboration between four artists in order "to explore the nature and understand the perception of biennial exhibits within the art world." Somewhere in their explorations, corruption and decadence has replaced their artful souls. "I've known these guys for some time now. They've become... different. I just don't know them anymore," says Sonja (or so I would have imagined she would have said if she had said it) as she looks on.
Caught on camera is Eric Hess smugly taking advantage of Atlantic Works' youngest member, Laura Torres. Whatever the nature of the biennial, it has certainly gone to his head. Why would an artist feel compelled to engage in such acts? In public, no less. Is this the nature of the biennial? Is its nature the abuse of power? Anna Salmeron and Laura Rollins quickly join the commotion and tell onlookers to "kiss off" as the scene unfolds.
When confronted and asked to comment, Eric bolted for the door.
To see more lewd and audacious acts from the likes of Eric Hess, Charlene Liska, Laura Rollins or Anna Salmeron, join us for the Third Thursday "party" on November 20 from 6-9 PM.
